Sculptural Work

The clay for these pieces is chosen for its strength, texture and tone. Larger work is handbuilt, using coils and slabs, a slower thoughtful process, that allows for improvisation and exploration of old and new forms. Many of these pieces can live outside through all seasons. I love the presence of clay sculpture in a garden in relationship to the trees and plants, rocks and sky.
